A short-let property is a fully furnished home available for flexible stays, typically between 1 and 6 months. It’s a set up designed for people who need temporary accommodation but want more comfort, space, and independence than a hotel can offer.
Whether you’re relocating, working in a new city, or navigating a gap between homes, a short-let gives you the ability to settle into a place properly. You can unpack, establish a routine, and enjoy your own space, without the pressure of a long-term commitment.

Short-lets are designed to make temporary living straightforward, comfortable, and flexible.
Key benefits include:
More space and privacy than hotels
Fully furnished homes ready to move into immediately
Utilities and Wi-Fi typically included
Flexible stay lengths, usually from 1 to 6 months
Locations in established residential areas
Beyond the practical advantages, a short-let allows you to live more naturally - cooking your own meals, working comfortably, and having space to relax.
Professionals on Temporary Work Assignments
If you need to be based in a specific location for work, a short-let provides a more comfortable and practical alternative to extended hotel stays.
People Relocating to a New Area
A short-let gives you time to get to know different neighbourhoods before deciding where you’d like to live long term.
Between Property Moves or Renovations
If your move-in dates don’t align, or your home is undergoing work, a short-let offers a reliable and comfortable place to stay in the meantime.
International Visitors Staying Longer Term
For extended visits, short-lets provide a more spacious and cost-effective option, with the added benefit of living like a local.

When you arrive at a short-let property, everything should be set up so you can start living straight away.
Rather than spending time organising essentials, you’ll walk into a home that’s already prepared, allowing you to focus on your plans, your work, or simply settling in.
Most properties include:
Fully furnished living, sleeping, and dining areas
Equipped kitchens with appliances and cookware
Bed linen and essential household items
Utilities, including gas, electricity, and water
Wi-Fi
Some properties may also offer additional services, such as regular cleaning or linen changes, depending on the host.

Finding the right short-let isn’t just about what’s available - it’s about what’s right for you.
We take a more considered approach by understanding how you plan to live during your stay. That might include proximity to work, access to transport, the need for a home-working setup, or simply a preference for a quieter location.
From your first enquiry, you’ll have a dedicated point of contact who will:
Listen to your requirements in detail
Recommend properties that genuinely fit your needs
Offer clear, honest guidance on each option
Support you through each step of securing your stay
Our aim is to make the process feel straightforward and well-managed, rather than overwhelming.
Step 1: Share Your Requirements
Tell us what you’re looking for, including location, budget, and length of stay. We’ll use this to identify suitable options.
Step 2: Choose Your Property
We’ll present a selection of available properties and talk you through the details, so you can make a confident decision.
Step 3: Secure Your Stay
Once you’ve chosen a property, we’ll agree the terms with the host and guide you through the necessary checks and documentation.
Step 4: Prepare for Your Arrival
We’ll confirm all details ahead of your move-in, including timings and access, so everything is clear.
Step 5: Move In and Settle
Your property will be clean, fully prepared, and ready for you to move in straight away.

In most cases, our role doesn’t end once you’ve moved in. Where the host has instructed us to manage your booking on their behalf, we continue to support you throughout your stay to ensure everything runs smoothly.
If any questions come up or something needs attention, you’ll have a team you can contact directly, without delays or uncertainty.
During your stay, we can assist with:
Coordinating maintenance or repairs for the host
Answering any day-to-day queries about the property
Helping you arrange additional services where available
Supporting you if your plans change and you need to extend, subject to availability
For many of our applicants, this ongoing support and management service is what makes the experience feel straightforward and well looked after.
Short-lets are typically structured to keep things simple, especially for shorter stays.
In most cases, your rental figure will include:
Utility bills
Wi-Fi
Council tax
This means you don’t need to set up multiple accounts or manage separate payments.
You will usually also be asked for:
A preliminary payment of one-week’s rent to secure the booking whilst we process the paperwork and necessary checks – off-set against the rental payment
A security deposit, held for the duration of your stay (variable but typically between 2-4 weeks’ rent depending on the length of booking)
Rental payment for the duration of the booking payable upfront upon the signing of the agreement
We’ll always explain these details clearly, so you know exactly what to expect before confirming your booking.

Short-lets offer a balance that sits between hotels and long-term rentals.
Hotels can be convenient for very short stays but often lack space and flexibility. Long-term rentals offer stability but require commitment and setup.
A short-let brings these elements together, giving you:
The flexibility to stay for the time you need
The comfort of a fully equipped home
The simplicity of an all-inclusive arrangement
This makes them particularly well suited to stays where both comfort and flexibility matter.
If you’re considering a short-let, the best place to begin is with a conversation. Tell us what you need, and we’ll guide you through the available options - helping you find a property that fits your plans and feels right for the way you want to live during your stay.
