Chestertons Coat Drive

As the colder months approach, we’re once again opening the doors of our branches to support Calling London’s annual winter coat drive.

This year marks our 13th year supporting Calling London, and we’re proud to continue working with our local communities to help those who need a little extra warmth this winter.

Since partnering with Calling London in 2013, we’ve collected more and more coats every year, starting with 200 in our first year and growing to an incredible 6,000 in 2025.

This winter we are hoping to collect even more coats as the demand is so much higher.

Who is Calling London?

Calling London is a London-based charity founded in 2010 by Frances Manthos, dedicated to supporting people in need across the capital.

Through its annual winter coat drive, Calling London collects unwanted coats and jackets and distributes them to more than 30 charitable organisations, helping support people experiencing homelessness, poverty and domestic abuse, as well as refugees, children and older people.

The coat drive brings businesses, schools and local communities together to give unwanted winter clothing a new purpose and help those who need it most during the colder months.

How can you help?

From 19 October to 21 November 2026, you can drop off unwanted winter coats and jackets at any of our branches.

Whether it’s a coat your children have outgrown, a jacket you no longer wear or a winter coat that’s been sitting at the back of your wardrobe, your donation could make a real difference to someone this winter.

What can you donate?

We welcome unwanted winter coats and jackets in:

Adult sizes
Children’s sizes
A range of styles suitable for the colder months

Please make sure your donations are clean and in a wearable condition, so they can be passed on to someone who needs them.

Do you accept other winter clothes?

No, unfortunately, we can only accept warm winter coats and jackets as detailed above.

I don’t have a coat to donate, is there another way I can help?

Yes - there are many ways you can support the coat drive. Take a look below:

Consider collecting coats to drop off to us: if your place of work, child’s school or college, or local church can run a collection, you are welcome to then drop these donations off at any Chestertons branch for them to be distributed to local charities.
